The Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services was introduced on June 10, 2004 and it became effective upon application of the required procedure.
According to the Article 14 of the Law (“Private security training can be given against fee by the Ministry of Interior or private training institutions authorized by the Ministry’’) in respect to the training of the people who intend to become a private security staff and who meet the qualifications stipulated in Article 10 of the Law, the people who want to become ARMED PRIVATE SECURITY STAFF must receive 120 hours’ training and the ones who want to become UNARMED PRIVATE SECURITY STAFF must receive 90 hours’ training provided that they have minimum a high school degree for armed security service and a secondary school degree for unarmed security service.
Following to private security training, the candidates who score 60 or more in the written and applied exams to be organized by the Ministry of Interior will be considered successful in the training.
The subjects and hours for the training to be received by private security staff and offered by private security training companies are mentioned in the Regulation.
Pursuant to the mandatory provisions of the Law, a person who is titular of a private security staff identity card and applies to our Company and who is considered convenient after he/she passes a psychological test, is given a corporate and initial training by our Company’s Training Department, training specialists in accordance with the intracompany training procedure.
When scheduling these trainings, priority subjects depending on the service to be provided are determined and the time is planned by taking into consideration the needs and characteristics of the workplace. Available time is used in the most reasonable way in order to ensure that the staff becomes ready for the duty in the shortest possible time.
The trainings organized by specialized training staff by using visual training CDs, a novelty in this sector, also lights the way for career planning and development programs.
